Sheep and Goats ...
The charge
for sheep is $6 a head and John will do their feet if necessary.
If
you'd like to vaccinate or worm them while he's got them down,
please be
sure to let us know beforehand as this tends to really slow
down the
process. We do have a $25 minimum for sheep and/or goats.
For Meat type flocks and Club lambs over 30 head,
the charge is $5 per sheep, just straight shearing, and he can take the
wool away if you let him know you don't want it....
Docking and Castration - ask about our prices
Dairy and Meat Goats :
Disbudding - $5 per head
Trim feet - $5 per head
Show clip - $10 per head
Angora Goats:
Shear and trim feet - $10
All sheep and
goats need to be
dry...
penned and accessible, when he comes out.
While we take precautions and use the gentlest and
safest methods for shearing your animals, accidents can
happen due to the nature of livestock handling.
We
cannot be held responsible for accidents.
John enjoys
shearing, will do large groups of sheep or goats, and will
travel, but we prefer to group you with others in your area. We
have moved from a per mile travel fee where travel is outside of
our local area to a $30 set up fee per
farm.... This helps to cover some of our travel expenses and
makes it more likely that we will come out to your area if there
are several farms willing to use us. While we don't generally
have a minimum # of animals, we do try to fit our small farms in
where there are several together to make our trips as cost
effective as possible. John is in the process of training a
group of young shearers and we can offer a discounted rate for
farms willing to be part of the training process. We
have references :-)
