As a voluntary association of independent professional
alpaca shearers, we ask for your prayers and as much
flexibility as possible, as we enter this tenuous season. We
want you to know that our crews have every intention of
completing their yearly mission of getting all of your
alpaca ,llamas , and sheep sheared during the very short
time we are afforded. We realize the importance of your
harvest as well as the very real threat to the lives of your
livestock if this shearing is delayed.
Our president has asked all essential agricultural services
to mobilize and we will do our best to get to you... please
keep an eye on the calendar which will probably change a
little more than usual this year as we deal with shutdowns
and curfews. The majority of you have used us for years and
you know your shearers... we have four man crews and a 2 man
crew... we will back each other up, and and do not require
your help...
To comply with our govt's recommendations, this year for any
farm who has, sick, elderly or infirm family members... we
will be happy to do everything for you this year to keep you
safe...please feel free to set us up with instructions, bags
and supplies and trust us to do the work that we have always
done for you....we would request that anyone sick or infirm,
anyone worried about any exposure that my shearers could
have to you, please stay home and trust us to take care of
this for you... we expect delays, additions and changes and
as always i will keep the calendar posted... i will also
call, as always, the the night before shearing and clarify
any last minute plans... please be patient as we navigate
this course and do our best to keep you and your livestock
as safe as possible.
We have always appreciated and enjoyed the hospitality of so
many of you, and with restaurants, and so many things
closed, it should be interesting... I may be a little slower
this season to release schedules as i make adjustments to
accommodate the overflow of farms finding themselves in a
position where the animals health could be compromised , as
all of the limited # of independent alpaca shearers around
country determine their courses. please rest assured that we
will do our best to do our jobs....
God willing and maybe even as the creeks keep rising.... May
He keep you all safe in the palm of His hand....rachel and
